Questions answered.

Is the nc-01 compatible with my computer? +

Yes — nc-01 works plug-and-play on macOS 12+, Windows 10/11 and most Linux distributions via USB-C. No drivers required for basic functionality. The n.cloud companion app is available for advanced macro customization.

Can I change the switches after purchase? +

No. You choose the switch type (linear, tactile or clicky) when ordering, and the switches are factory-soldered — they can't be swapped later. This makes the board thinner and more reliable, but do pick carefully: if you're unsure, Brown (tactile) is the safest all-rounder.

Does it have a built-in microphone or AI? +

No — nc-01 is a plain USB HID macropad. No microphone, no AI chip, no subscription. The mic key controls your computer's own microphone: press it to unmute / push-to-talk in whatever app you use, press again to mute. The device itself never hears anything.

When will pre-orders ship? +

First batch ships September 2026 from Kyiv, Ukraine — worldwide via Ukrposhta, Nova Post Global or DHL Express, all tracked. The batch is limited to 500 units, each laser-engraved with its own number (001–500) assigned in order of purchase. Pre-order customers get the early-adopter price of $119 and a thank-you card signed by the n.cloud team.

What's the return policy? +

30-day no-questions-asked returns. If you don't love it, send it back for a full refund. We also offer a 2-year warranty on all hardware defects.

Is shipping from Ukraine reliable? +

Yes. Ukrposhta, Nova Post Global, Meest and DHL run daily international routes from Kyiv, and every parcel is tracked end-to-end and insured for its full value. If a parcel is ever lost or damaged in transit, we reship a new unit or refund you in full — the risk is ours, not yours.

Who pays import duties and taxes? +

The price excludes import charges, and shipping is added at checkout based on your country and chosen carrier. Duties depend on where you are: the US ended its $800 duty-free threshold in 2025, so a small customs fee may now apply on arrival; in the EU and UK the courier typically collects local VAT on delivery; many other countries still have a duty-free threshold a $119 parcel fits under. Express carriers (DHL) usually handle customs for you and bill any fee on delivery.

Can my nc-01 arrive already configured? +

Yes — that's the point of pre-ordering. At checkout there's an optional "Your keymap" step: assign any of 19 actions to each of the 9 keys, and we flash your layout onto your unit at the factory. It works your way from the very first plug-in, no app needed. You also get your layout as a .json file — keep it as a backup or share it with your team.

How do I apply a promo code? +

On the checkout page, find the "Promo code" field in the order summary, enter your code (for example NC15) and press Apply. The discount is applied to the subtotal instantly, before payment. One code per order.
